How local charities have benefited from Blue Billboard in 2022

Despite the title of this blog post, we actually give to charity all year round and are always conscious of how we can help selected local charities. In fact, when we founded Blue Billboard, we always knew that we wanted to be involved in our local community and give when we can. As such, we have since been giving free airtime to selected campaigns. This year, we have had more success than ever. Supporting six different local charities and totting up nearly £8,000 worth of advertising spend per charity. Totalling a huge £47,250 and a mind-blowing 18.9 million total impressions of those campaigns!

Each of the advertising campaigns that we ran for these charities had a different fundraising goal in mind and each campaign delivered. Whether through people signing up for the event they were advertising or, as in the case of the RNLI, through direct conversions when people scanned the QR code on the screen.

Using DOOH advertising as part of an omnichannel strategy

By far the biggest users of our DOOH network were St Barnabas and Chestnut Tree House as they run an omnichannel marketing campaign all year round. Running campaigns with us seamlessly integrated into their existing omnichannel approach and increased their brand awareness within local communities. 

By taking an omnichannel approach, St Barnabas and Chestnut Tree House are able to reach their target audiences across a variety of devices and platforms. Using our PDOOH network, they have been able to retarget consumers that have already seen their fundraising ads elsewhere. Making their overall advertising campaigns much more effective.

We’ve had some wonderful feedback from the charities about the DOOH advertising we’ve donated to them including, “it’s been an incredible help in boosting local awareness and event interest” and “there are some very impressive figures there that the team will be delighted to hear about”.
